Yellow Displays

At this time of year it can be tricky to find nice decorations, as the stores are filled with bunnies and fake greenery. Natural elements like fresh flowers and blossoms can wilt fast, and for those of us who are still waiting for spring to arrive, we need something that can last longer to help cheer on the season.

Today I put together a couple of really simple displays around my house:

First, the beloved Cadbury Mini Eggs. These are seriously something I look forward to every year, they scream spring. One taste can instantly bring me back to my childhood, and the excitement I felt on Easter morning. By separating the colours they not only serve a snackable purpose, but match my  yellow theme perfectly.

Adding a touch of paint to a hollowed egg is an easy way to add colour, and a sense of occasion.

I look forward to the first blossoms each year, but paper ones keep my happy till the real ones arrive. Martha Stewart instructs how HERE.

I find that by choosing a colour theme and gathering things I already have, I only have to add a simple project to get the festive results I want.

Do you have a spring display or project you’re pround of? If so we’d love to see, please send us a photo at: mail [at] boxwoodclippings [dot] com

You don’t even want to know how many bags of mini-eggs I ate this spring.
