Holler Dollar: V05 Shampoo + Conditioner

For those of you with thin straight hair, this Holler Dollar is for you! Introducing my favorite shampoo + conditioner V05’s Extra Body Combo…

Unfortunately or fortunately for me expensive shampoo’s and conditioner’s  take all the life out of my hair making it more limp and almost impossible to even tie in a pony. My hair is naturally very soft and silky which is usually not something to complain about, but sometimes it’s maddening  to work with.

By much experiment, I’ve found the ‘cheaper’ shampoo’s on the market to be better for my hair, they actually give my hair some volume without weighing it down and yes it’s a major HOLLER that my favorite turn’s out to be only a $1 or under if on sale.

Do you have favorite beauty products for around a buck? Do share!

I LOVE the $1.50 rimmel nail polish (though sometimes it’s on sale for $1) at walmart. It is the most durable, color saturated nail polish I’ve found! I have china glaze, OPI and essie in multiple colors each but the rimmel brand is amazing and so much better. The container is smaller but I have yet to finish any nail polish color ever so that isn’t a problem. I also love the brush size as it’s shorter and wider. Winning all around!

Great tip, I have very flat, oily hair and sometimes the more inexpensive shampoos work better for me too. Do you know if these are safe for color-treated hair?

e.l.f. available at Target is awesome and priced from $1 to $3 for each item!

Miranda, I’ll have to give the rimmel a try. Generally I like cheaper nail polishes because because it gives me a chance to experiment with different colors without breaking the bank. Nice tip thanks!

Dana, I’m sure it’s ok for color treated hair but may not preserve the color as long as other products…sorry not much help I’ve never colored my hair really. :)

Kerry, e.l.f products always catch my eye because of their prices and packaging. I’ve only really tried the eyeshadows, do you have a favorite of theirs?

I think the e.l.f. brushes and other tools are great and I love their HD blush and all over color stick. I also like their jumbo lip gloss stick – it’s only $1 so its a great way to try a new color or layer under another color.

So excited to have found your blog…especially the Holler Dollar! So great. Speaking of V05…I love their shampoo + conditioner for fine/thin hair. I get it at our Kroger for $.79! When I tell people, they laugh! But I love it!!!
