Emily’s Autumn Porch

My favorite part about being in our new house so far is getting to decorate for the different seasons.

Here is our front porch all ready for Halloween and Thanksgiving.

    Hi Emily!

I’m new to your beautiful site. LOVE your front door. We rent our home out of choice — and I find myself exhausted at the idea of decorating. Which surprises me because I thought I’d love to.

Question: are you going to re-paint your door for each season? The black is cool for Halloween, but cool period.

    Nice job!

    Very pretty!

Looking good, I also like the way that if you want to sit on one of the rocking chairs on the porch – you only have to move one pumpkin!

Thanks everyone! Alley, the door is permanently black, but now you’ve given me an idea! John the pumpkins on the rockers work well to keep the wind from whisking my pillows away!

It is so fun to decorate new houses for the season! We have a big window in our front door and so the wall has spiders and a happy Halloween sign you can see from outside plus a spider web on the door. Of course, pumpkins and trick or treat signs are a must too!
