Gift Idea: Handmade Recipe Box

There is nothing I love more than an old and worn recipe card. A card that has been used dozens of times with a dusting of flour or a few grease marks on it.

I remember seeing Brad’s Grandma’s recipe cards for the first time. I never knew her and instantly fell in love with her eloquent handwriting and funny instructions. What an heirloom!

In our world of technology, our computers have now replaced the standard  5″ x 7″ recipe card. Photographs and Pinterest are way too easy than plain, old handwritten instructions. I still love though, the idea of all of my favorite recipes being contained in one little box.

Brad surprised me at Christmas with such a box…with a little help from a Christmas elf named Sarah!

This little box is something I will treasure for years. I absolutely love it, and the idea of filling it to the brim with tried and tested family favorites has me truly excited!

I think it would make a lovely present for any special lady…Mother’s Day and wedding season will be here before too long. How wonderful would this be as a gift for the bride-to-be?

If you don’t own your own recipe box, maybe it’s time for a treat! Made in the USA, its workmanship is exquisite, and price tag is reasonable for such a lovely handmade product. I know you will treasure it as much as I do!

I agree. Pinterest is handy; but when I cook, I prefer paper to digital. This is a beautiful recipe box. Very special!
