The Simplest Bridal Shower Invitation

Monday, June 29th, 2015

These past few weeks have wild and magical time for our family!

We started last week with a bridal shower and kept it as simple as possible from start to finish.

A handwritten invitation started our organic and simple theme beautifully.

We wrote our note and made black and white copies.

Then we finished off each one with a pop of green colored pencil on the wreath.

With no computer needed, sometimes the good old fashion ways are the easiest, turn out just as beautiful and are fun too!

Stay tuned for more party fun…

Our Favorite Things Bridal Shower Gift

Thursday, June 25th, 2015

This week we had a little shower for our soon-t0-be sis, Kristina (wedding on Friday!!!).

We loved this opportunity to get together the ladies on both sides of the family and shower the bride.

For our gift, we put together a few of our favorite things to help her set up house.

Organization: Sarah’s Pantry Overhaul!

Monday, June 22nd, 2015

About 2 months ago I woke up to find a nightmare in my pantry. BUGS!!!

Warehouse bugs.

It was traumatic.

It look a while to get rid of them.

But now we’re bug-free and neater than ever, as this was a great excuse to have a pantry overhaul.

Ooooh pretty!!!

One of the things I learned, was that I really needed plastic containers to prevent it happening again.

(The bugs were in a box of cereal. Yuck.)

Containers can keep the food air-tight, fresher for longer…and just feels clean!

We’d been wanting these OXO (click HERE) containers for years but they are pricey. We were thrilled with our find at Costco, a pack of 8 containers for $48. Which is great because usually they are about $15 each!

For smaller prepackaged items our favorite $1 bins (link HERE) are perfection.

They keep things in their place, and also protect from those ‘lil pests.

To finish it off we added wrapping paper to the shelves. Much cuter and cheaper than liners, but will probably have to be replaced every other year or so.

And just because we couldn’t get enough stripes we added a notice board to match!

Since we removed ours in the hallway for the peg rail (see HERE) I’ve been desperate for a place for invitations and such.

We simply covered a notice board in fabric and hung with command strips.

So handy, and cute.

We’d been eating out a ton and keeping what little food we had on the other side of the kitchen, so it’s nice to finally feel back to normal.

Relaxed and clean again!

We are super impressed with THESE denim shorts for the babies.
They match everything, fit great, and have become our every day go-to.
