Organization: Sarah’s Pantry Overhaul!

About 2 months ago I woke up to find a nightmare in my pantry. BUGS!!!

Warehouse bugs.

It was traumatic.

It look a while to get rid of them.

But now we’re bug-free and neater than ever, as this was a great excuse to have a pantry overhaul.

Ooooh pretty!!!

One of the things I learned, was that I really needed plastic containers to prevent it happening again.

(The bugs were in a box of cereal. Yuck.)

Containers can keep the food air-tight, fresher for longer…and just feels clean!

We’d been wanting these OXO (click HERE) containers for years but they are pricey. We were thrilled with our find at Costco, a pack of 8 containers for $48. Which is great because usually they are about $15 each!

For smaller prepackaged items our favorite $1 bins (link HERE) are perfection.

They keep things in their place, and also protect from those ‘lil pests.

To finish it off we added wrapping paper to the shelves. Much cuter and cheaper than liners, but will probably have to be replaced every other year or so.

And just because we couldn’t get enough stripes we added a notice board to match!

Since we removed ours in the hallway for the peg rail (see HERE) I’ve been desperate for a place for invitations and such.

We simply covered a notice board in fabric and hung with command strips.

So handy, and cute.

We’d been eating out a ton and keeping what little food we had on the other side of the kitchen, so it’s nice to finally feel back to normal.

Relaxed and clean again!
