Essential Oils Diffuser

Wednesday, March 30th, 2016

One of the first things that hits me when I walk into a space is the smell.

Anthropologie is one of those places that comes to mind, where the divine smell hits me right when I walk in…do you know what I’m talking about? Anyhow, two of our organizing clients are huge on Essential Oils and their homes smell amazing! So when my mother-in-law gifted me an amazon gift card for my birthday, I knew what I wanted to splurge on!

I bought THIS Essential Oil Diffuser, and THESE oils.

I’m in love!

Both of these purchases are not top of the line, so I may upgrade soon, but they were priced great and with the oils only being diffused I figured they didn’t have to be the best quality.

My bedroom truly smells like a spa, and has become even more the little haven I’ve been trying to perfect.

My happy space for sure!

Happy Easter everyone!

In the next few days you’ll see an abundance of eggs, and what better way to use them than to whip up a good old egg butty?

You Will Need:

8 Boiled Eggs

Teaspoon of mustard

1/2 Cup of Mayo

Pinch of Salt and Pepper

Yummy Bread

Mix them all together and there you have it.

If you want to make it a little more fancy, you can add a few chopped spring onions, some sprouts or just some tomato and cucumber.

Alone, or dressed up, this sandwich is a go-to with ingredients you’re always likely to have on hand.

Em’s New Office Nook

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016

We have been busy rearranging and trying to make space for our new baby boy…it’s amazing how we’ve gone from living in a teeny tiny apartment to a house and have filled it so quickly!

We’ve combined our guest room and office to make a new nursery and my desk got booted. At first I was thinking I could just work from our dining table, no biggie. But then I decided I needed my own space for paperwork, gifts, and craft storage no matter how teeny that space may be, and then I realized there was a closet not being used!

This nook/closet is right off our master and for the past three years we’ve stored throw pillows, luggage in this nook and that’s about it. Those things got moved to the basement and in came the trusty KALLAX!

I know we’ve said it before, but honestly I cannot believe how much these storage cubes can hold! I have moved everything from my office and gift closet (HERE) to these cubes, and I can barely believe it!

I am actually loving this space more than I thought…perfect for work and computer time as I’m not being distracted!
And having all my mommy things in one little space is perfect!

Our Must-Have Baby Products

Friday, March 18th, 2016

We get asked quite frequently what baby products are on our “must-have” lists, so we thought it would be fun to do a round up of our real, tested and loved baby products.

Here they are!

1. Diaper Bags

Our favorite is the classic diaper bag from Pottery Barn Kids HERE. We have absolutely hammered these diaper bags and they still look like brand new. Look out for sales, you can usually get a good deal!

2. Boppy Nursing Pillow

The good ole’ Boppy HERE is so wonderful for support for nursing and perfect to prop your baby up so he can see all around from being newborn. We both used hand me downs that were in great shape, and bought new covers to match our nurseries.

3. Tommee Tippee

We love the basic design of Tommee Tippee and used almost all of their products: Bottlessterilizerbottle warmer, and pacifiers. We didn’t experiment much with different brands, but the girlies took to them right away and we had no complaints! We will note however, that we did change up the nipple every 6 months or so, to the next age range, this kept the girls happy.

4. Maxi Cosi Car seats

We have always been huge fans of Britax carseats until Sarah tried the Maxi Cosi HERE. It is beyond any comparison in comfort and coziness. So nice for your little one! The fabric washes amazing, and we like the choice of colors! (It’s also the only brand that is compatible with bumble ride strollers, another must have :)

5. A Bassinet (on wheels)

We loved having bassinets when our babies were newborns that we could roll right up next to our beds. Pottery Barn Kids bassinet HERE.

6. Baby Bjorn Carrier

We’ve tried every baby carrier there is out there and for us nothing beats the original Baby Bjorn HERE. It is very user friendly, lightweight and compact, which makes baby carrying a breeze.

7. Mamaroo

If you like the idea of a baby swing the mamaroo has no other comparison HERE. You can even sync it to your phone.

8. Diaper Caddy

We cannot get enough of this baby station on the go HERE. Still use on a daily basis!

9. Bumbleride strollers

Specifically the Indie stroller HERE. This stroller is incredibly smooth and easy to maneuver. We love the bassinet attachment HERE for the newborn stage to make into a proper pram. You can also buy the Maxi Cosi car seat attachment HERE for convenience. Sarah has love, love, LOVED her double Indie HERE and swears if you’re having twins there is no other choice. It’s easy to maneuver with one hand, and had literally been key in running errands when kids out number adults!!!

10. Mustella

There is always spit up and poopy diapers and THIS gentle body spray makes baby (and momma) smell like heaven. We also love THIS newborn hair and body wash. It’s so gentle and smells divine, we still use it on our toddlers.

11. Stokke Tripp Trapp

Our little brothers had THESE Stokke Tripp Trapp high chairs from being infants. The highchairs are almost 30 years old and still going strong. They adjust with your growing child and are definitely worth the splurge! We plan on getting one for every new baby, to see them right though childhood.

You may of noticed that a lot of these items are on the pricey side. With some, we were able to share or pass on, and because the quality on all these items is outstanding often you can find second hand ones that are still in wonderful condition. We very rarely pay full price, if you keep your eye on sales and coupons!

We hope you found our round up useful, and for all of you with your own favorite items, please share in comments!!!!

Happy Baby Shopping!!!
