You guys! We cannot believe it is the end of February, whaaaat??!! The new year has been nuts for us so far.
Our best news of course, is that SARAH IS PREGNANT!!!!!! We have had so much sickness, doctors visits, snow days, visitors and a fun trip to Disneyland we have had zero time to blog.
On a good day we have three toddlers running around, baby Ben who’s now on the move and into EVERYTHING and one pregnant lady, so you can imagine how productive we are being. We are finding it hard to manage and keep on top of it all which gives us even more incentive to simplify everything in our lives! What is your secret to managing it all? Meditation?! A nanny? Please comment and let us know!!!
One thing we have done is made major goals for our homes this year!
We’re both hoping to finish our basements in the near future, but first we want to spruce our current spaces. With our growing families we have room changes to tackle too. A new nursery and playroom for Sarah’s family and a big girl room for Emily’s little Jane. Minimum budget with maximum impact will be our goal and we’ll be documenting everything to take you along our updates. You can follow us on Instagram HERE and Pinterest HERE for our daily inspiration and what we’re up to!
First up for Emily, is her dining room. If you follow us on Insta you got a sneak peek of her current project. It’s the space that felt the most unfinished so the perfect starting spot for the year.
She had one blank wall that we thought needed some trim to help the whole space feel finished. We decided on a grid wall of squares and got our inspiration from this image from Serena and Lily. It’s traditional but also modern and fits well with the craftsman architecture of the home.
The project is almost done and we’re thrilled with how it’s coming together. We’ll be sharing the space with you soon.
Lastly, are you having a hard time getting through this winter? If you have the February blues like us you NEED THIS Restoration Hardware throw that is on major clearance. We think it is the world’s best secret and our survival for winter.
Lots of love, Sarah and Emily xx
