Christmas at Bath and Body Works

Thursday, November 21st, 2013

I cannot wait to have little kiddos at Christmas to help them dream of sugar-plums and be filled with the Christmas spirit.

Our sis, Helen always gets her kids excited for Christmas by adding a Bath and Body Works nightlight and festive soap in their bathrooms.

Whether or not you have kids at home just an item or two from Bath and Body Works will bring instant Christmas joy into your home:

Bath and Body Works will be having one of their best sales of the year on black Friday. This is when I stock up on my favorites for the year and be on the look out for gift ideas and stocking-stuffers.

I love the True Blue Spa, C O Bigelow and Aromatherapy lines for gifts and these are the perfect little stocking-stuffers that can loop on to anything and hopefully keep your family healthy too.

As always, coupons always make shopping even better! For a $10 off $30 purchase coupon (can be used in-store and online) click HERE.

World Market Love

Wednesday, October 23rd, 2013

It had been a little while since I’d last visited Cost Plus World Market, I finally got a chance and was blown away at SO many things. Here’s a touch of its current awesomeness:

This industrial hall tree needs to find a place in my house asap!

I’m equally in love with this white bench.

I am really liking the shape of these wishbone chairs.

I would love to use this simple United States map in a child’s bedroom.

Not sure what I love about this cart so much, but I think I could make a home for it in any room of my house.

I bought this brown ruffled pie dish for only $12.99 in store. It is so similar to these Emile Henry ones that are $46 each! This makes me extra excited for pie season!

I know this is very, very early but these soft stockings are divine and only $14.99.

These vases and mercury glass candle holders are screaming to make a debut in my holiday decor.

Homemade Christmas gifts could be made even cuter with these spoon gift tags and cookie stamps.

These earrings are super cute and would make lovely Christmas gifts for $6.99.

This is just a glimpse of how great this store is.

World Market always has a sale going on, which always makes things even better. Sign up here for coupons and promotions and view current sales here.

This post brought to you in part by, Gygi.

We are so excited about the little trick or treats we’ll be giving out this year!

We found everything we needed for Halloween at one of our favorite stores, Gygi.

This is what we used:

little bitty treat bags $4.50 for 20 bags

Vanilla taffy $7.99 for 3lb bag

Washi tape $2.99 (in store)

(click HERE to link to all the items)

We put three taffies in per bag and closed it off with a strip of washi tape. One bag of vanilla taffy, three packets of little bitty treat bags, and one washi tape roll will make about 60 trick or treats, which works out to be around $.40 each.

So tiny and adorable!

We think they’d also make a perfect party favor.

As always, don’t forget to use ‘BOXWOOD10’ for a 10% discount on EVERYTHING on their site. You can even pick up in store to save you the shipping! Holler!

Consignment Accent Table

Tuesday, October 1st, 2013

The newest addition in our home is this sweet accent table.

It was a house warming gift from Brad’s mom, Maureen and I love it to bits. We found it at a consignment store in California, I can’t tell you how much I love consignment and thrift store shopping! The Sanders family are gold miners at thrift and consignment shops and have taught me to love it too!

Not only are prices so much more affordable than retail but the workmanship and detail on older pieces are usually better too. See more of my thrift and consignment finds and tips here, here, and here.

Thanks Maureen, we will cherish this for many years to come!

Anthropologie, oh how we love thee!

Stepping foot into this store is a little like visiting a art gallery. Very inspiring, and oh so beautiful. Here are some of our faves we think should be in your home:

No. 4: Mugs. A go-to favorite gift (see here), and a cute personal splurge. Perfect for this time of year when nothing can beat a cozy hot chocie.

No. 5: Candle. There’s nothing like a gorgeous smell to welcome you into a room. There luxurious candles do just that…yummy!

No. 6: Journal. What’s more enticing than a fresh leather journal? Let your ideas, dreams and wishes fun free in this one!

No. 7: Calenders that are pretty enough to hang in your house are always a good idea, even when the year is over you can frame the pictures. This one is adorable.
