Target Tuesday Christmas 2012

Tuesday, November 20th, 2012

I have been resisting the urge of posting Christmas finds at Target for some time. Now Thanksgiving is almost here, I think I can safely post without getting any one too angry :)

I am noticing theme of  Christmas decor I’ve seen this year; rustic, earth elements mixed with super glam-glam, high-shine sparkle. It is a winning combination in my eyes!

1. Silver sequin pillow $24.99

2. Tree trunk porcelain server $12.99

3. Gold Infant Dress $18.00

4. Leaf plate $12.99

5. Owl snow globe $12.99

This is just a mere little sample of the greatness of Target this Christmas, and each store has different stock, so it’s a new surprise at every time! They have me hooked…how about you?

Target Tuesday

Tuesday, May 15th, 2012

Have you seen the Shops at Target? It is such a fun collection from five stores across the country. Target has done a great job at choosing stores that convey a wide array of tastes and products from the beaches of Miami to the mountains of Aspen.

My absolute favorite item is this small plate from Privet house in Connecticut.

Privet House at Target white embossed appetizer plate (set of four $15.99)

I am dying for these plates! I would use them for petite desserts or for small gourmet salads.

I quickly browsed over this next item online. There seems to be poufs everywhere, so I wasn’t too excited to see Privet House offering them at Target.

It wasn’t until I saw them at the store that I realized how incredible they are! They are well-made, attractive, have a delightful texture and are super comfy. The small size is perfect for ottoman use, and perfect for extra seating when you have a full house.

Privet House at Target pouf (Small $69.99) (Large $159.99)

This little embroidered dress reminds me of embroidery from the 80′s. I love it! Wish I had a little girl to put in it.

The Webster at Target Infant Embroidered Dress $14.99

Lastly, on my last trip to Target I picked up these cute Mossimo sandals that I’ve been eyeing online for a while. They are super comfortable and look great with shorts, skirts and jeans. I am so happy with them.

Winifred braided sandal $14.99

Target Tuesday: Mara Mi Stationary

Tuesday, April 17th, 2012

One of the best things about Target is that they are constantly getting new stock, so there’s always lots of new lovely things to look at. But more than that, they introduce us to fabulous designers at a price point we love.

Mara Mi’s new stationary line at Target is flipping beautiful. Lots of bright colours, with bold patterns. It’s all so lovely I want to by the entire collection; but here are a couple of my favorite items:

The Hot Layered Invitation Kit  would be perfect for a baby announcement. Just add a black and white photo of the little princess, and tadaaa…a modern announcement for only $29 for 30, thats like $1 each. Paired with matching Thank You Cards ($12.99 for 50) you can’t go wrong.

These yellow items had me instantly feeling summery, wouldn’t they be lovely for a summer birthday gift?. The Lemon Note Cards are $6.99 for 15, I’m totally dying over the envelopes. The Journal Set is only $7.99, perfect to document your summer delights.

Check out their entire collection for Target HERE, or in store, and Mara Mi’s website HERE.

Target Tuesday: Elf Eyeshadow

Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012

Since the hubs has been back in school, I’ve had to look for big ways to cut back. Clinique is my go to beauty brand; having been a consultant for them I know and love most of their products. However, having EVERY item from them is just not doable these days.

The ELF cosmetics caught my eye on my last visit to Target, (I think it may have been because their new line has all white packaging)…anyhow, the natural compact  looked so soft and not too shimmery so I thought I’d give it a whirl.

Even with my sensitive skin, I was really impressed with it, especially because it was only $3!

What do you guys think? Good enough, right?

Target Tuesday: Basic White Dinnerware Collection

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

Target has revamped its white dining collection..woot woot! Now I really have a reason to need that white hutch we blogged about yesterday.

NO. 1 on cuteness factor goes to this adorable porcelain milk bottle. Not sure how practical for actual milk but maybe for chocolate milk or to use as a vase? Ok, apparently I’m not quite sure what I’d use it for, but I’m sure I’d think of something. $9.99 in store or $15.99 for two online.

Next up is this bread basket. It reminds me of these ones from Williams-Sonoma, and is something I have always dreamed of for Easter Sunday. It also comes in a variety of colors and is only $16.99.

Lastly, is this adorable salad plate. I know a few ladies who would like to lunch on this pretty little plate! Alternatively, it’s scalloped edges make it definitely wall worthy. $3.99 in stores only.

Alright, seriously…now I just need that lovely white hutch already because I’ve found all the things I want displayed in it! Are any of these taking your fancy? Any ideas for that milk bottle?

Target Tuesday: Wooden Chevron Lamp

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

Today I want to share my last few Target purchases that I am super excited about.

A few weeks ago I saw these pretty lamps at Pottery Barn:

Price tag: $180..ouch, really people that is a lot for a table lamp base!  They also reminded me of lamps that I saw at Target for $50 that I thought were too expensive to buy.  I started to regret not buying the totally classic wooden lamp base at Target while it was in stock. Boo..don’t you hate that!

Within a few days I was at Target and saw two of the lamps on the end-cap for $25! woot woot!  I am SO happy with these lamps!  I really think I will love them forever.  A total investment is how I pitched it to the hubs ;)

I bought safe, solid white lamp shades and was happy with the look, but then saw this glamorous gold chevron lampshade and my inner Beyonce had to give it a try:

The chevron is very bold, but fun.  What do you think of the combo? I think the classic base can handle a crazy shade..at least for now.

Lesson learned: make sure to check those end-caps for deals you thought you missed :)

Target Tuesday: Thank You cards

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Today at Target we spied several adorable Thank You cards on sale, and thought what a perfect time of year to send a little note. Sometimes, I think we all tend to get distracted in the fuss and cost of holidays; but a little gratitude note can help both the sender and receiver get in the true spirit of this time of year…don’t you think?

These cards have been our fave for years, Em even used them for her wedding. This week they’re marked down from $12.99 a box to $9.74 making that just under $0.20 each!

Black letterpress text on cream cardstock is hard to beat, but here are a few others that caught my eye:

So simple, so fun!

Target Tuesday: Smith + Hawkin Wreaths

Tuesday, October 4th, 2011

The Smith + Hawkin isle is always fun to stroll down on your Target visit.

I’m especially loving their fall collection this year, THIS wreath is simple and festive and priced cut to $32.00.

They also have a couple of Black arrangements, that are perfect for Halloween.

Be sure to check them out next time you’re out and about!

Target Tuesday: Green Inspired

Tuesday, April 19th, 2011

Today on our Target visit we fell in love with this adorable new line of stationery by Green Inspired.

A couple of these little beauties would really help spice up a dull work area, with their fun designs and bold colours. The prices are great also, for example the list pads (pictured above in the bowl) are 3 for $4.99…matched with a cute pen or pencil they would be a lovely addition for any Easter basket.
