DIY Felted Baby Mobile

Thursday, March 3rd, 2016

We didn’t realize how much babies love mobiles until the girls arrived.
Now we know better!
We are getting all ready for Em’s baby boy and made our own version to hang above his changing table.

To make this mobile we used 30 felted balls, the inner part of a 12″ embroidery hoop (HERE) and basic white string. We bought the felt balls locally, but THIS Etsy store has a great selection at a great price.

We strung each ball with a needle and thread and tied each strand to the hoop.

This took about 15 minutes and we know baby boy will love staring up at it.

Wouldn’t this make the cutest present to give at a baby shower?

Making a Wreath for Free is our Fave!

Wednesday, October 21st, 2015

Man, how we love a simple, pretty project that costs us nothing at all!

Sarah has a lot of dusty miller plants in front of her home, that needed a good clipping for winter. We took the clippings to make the easiest wreath ever!

We used a wire hanger as our wreath base (see HERE), which we simply just bent into an oval. Next we attached the dusty miller clippings by wiring the stems to the hanger.

This plant dries great, and this project took about 10 minutes!

We’ll take any chance we get to bring a little extra life into the house for the winter, especially when it’s free!

Black Licorice Cat Favors

Wednesday, September 30th, 2015

We spied these black licorice cats HERE and thought they were perfect for Halloween!

Paired with THESE little muslin bags and you have a perfect harry potter-worthy treat.

We stamped the bags with ‘boo’ to make them a little more festive.

Glitter Acorns

Thursday, September 17th, 2015

You know what’s fun? Glitter!!!

It’s pretty hard to beat good ole’ nature, but sometimes is fun to add little sparkle!

These acorns were simply dipped in glue and sprinkled with the good stuff (HERE).

They’re nice to dot around the house, or to display together in a bowl.

As always, it’s always fun to add a little festivity here and there! :)
